- MAKKAH/JEDDAH: The fifth secondary school students' gathering will be held in Jeddah on Monday evening to review skills and techniques that could help students qualify for university and choose their specialization.
- Makkah will also have its first similar gathering at the same time.
The three-day Jeddah students gathering will be held at the King Abdul Aziz Cultural Center in Abruq Al-Raghama and will be jointly organized by the local Department of Education, the Iqra Office for Educational Consultations and the committee of private and international schools at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The gathering in Makkah will be held at King Fahd Hall at the local department of education and will be jointly organized by the department and Iqra office.
According to the director of the Iqra office Malik Ghazi bin Talib, the two gatherings aim to engage with secondary school students, prepare them for university and provide advice on how to choose their preferred college.
“These workshops will guide students who wish to go to university and choose their specialization,” he added.
Bin Talib described the gatherings as academic bridges for students wishing to continue their education and said they would enable the students to learn more about the labor market and pick their colleges accordingly.
A number of educationalists and sociologists will participate in the two gatherings.
