Mohammed Ali, manager of Saudi Steel Company, opened the event, which began with a march past where children dressed in their sports uniforms proudly wearing the sashes of their respective houses. Team captains swore an oath that they would display good sportsmanship with responsibility to keep up the name and glory of the school.

The pompom drill by the tiny tots of KG I & II was par excellence. Resplendent in blue and white attire they displayed precision and skill as they moved in tandem to the beat of drums.

FG girls also presented a colorful umbrella drill while the boys tried to showcase their skills with their swords.

Hassan Assainar, member of the managing committee declared the track and field events open. He encouraged students to believe in themselves and venture forth with a determination to prove their mettle.

The events began with a bang when the playschool children stepped onto the tracks to run through the finish line amidst the cheers of their teammates and teachers. Students competed with one another in innovative events such as the bottle-filling race, book balancing race and step-on-it race.

Fouzia Khan was the chief guest distributed trophies and medals to winners. Red House bagged the overall championship.

A lucky draw for the mothers certainly caused a roar of excitement as they eagerly awaited the announcement of the lucky number. As bags were packed and children left for their homes, a feeling of contentment, confidence and joy reflected on their faces giving new hope and vitality for a future yet to come.
