Fresh off a 7-3-2 homestand, the Lightning looked just fine away from Florida. St. Louis scored in the first period and then set up Lecavalier’s 15th goal that made it 2-1. Tampa Bay, second in the Eastern Conference, played on the road for the first time since Jan. 21.

Dwayne Roloson stopped 22 shots as the Lightning completed a four-game sweep of the Rangers, a potential first-round playoff opponent.

Blackhawks 4 Coyotes 3, SO: In Chicago, Jonathan Toews scored twice in regulation and had the lone goal in the shootout to lead Chicago over Phoenix for its fourth straight victory.

Marian Hossa also scored for the Blackhawks, 6-1-2 in their last nine games.

Adrian Aucoin , Keith Yandle and Martin Hanzal scored in the second for the Coyotes, who tied it 3-all late in the period after trailing by two goals twice. The Coyotes are 0-2-1 following an eight-game winning streak.

Bruins 3 Oilers 2: In Edmonton, Alberta, Michael Ryder had a goal and an assist to lead the surging Boston Bruins past Edmonton.

Nathan Horton and Rich Peverley also scored for the Northeast Division-leading Bruins, who have won five straight on their six-game road trip.

Ales Hemsky and Gilbert Brule had goals for the Oilers. Brule was back in the lineup after sitting out 27 of the past 30 games with an illness.

Predators 3 Blue Jackets 2: In Nashville, Tennessee, David Legwand capped Nashville’s three-goal third period with the go-ahead score with 1:35 remaining to lead the Predators over Columbus.

Shea Weber and Jonathon Blum also scored for Nashville, which kept pace in the tightly bunched Western Conference playoff race. It was the first NHL goal for Blum.

Matt Calvert and Kris Russell scored for Columbus.

Thrashers 3 Maple Leafs 2, OT: In Atlanta, Ron Hainsey scored from the edge of the left circle in overtime and Atlanta beat Jean-Sebastien Giguere and the Toronto Maple Leafs to snap a five-game winless streak.

Chris Mason had 22 saves and Andrew Ladd and Tim Stapleton scored third-period goals as the Thrashers rallied from a 2-0 deficit.

Atlanta’s rally came after Toronto lost goalie James Reimer to an injury early in the second period. The Thrashers earned their second win since the All-Star break.

Devils 2 Panthers 1: In Sunrise, Florida, David Clarkson and Brian Rolston scored goals and Martin Brodeur stopped 25 shots in his return from injury as New Jersey beat Florida.

The Devils are 17-2-2 in their past 21 games. They climbed within nine points of eighth-place Carolina in the Eastern Conference while the Panthers remained eight points back of the postseason cutoff.

Ducks 3 Avalanche 2: In Anaheim, California, Todd Marchant snapped a 70-game goal drought, Brandon McMillan got the go-ahead score during a 4-minute power play with 8:37 remaining, and Anaheim ended a five-game losing streak with a victory over Colorado.

Ryan Getzlaf also scored and Dan Ellis made 22 saves in his second start for the Ducks since being acquired last Thursday in a trade that sent ineffective backup goalie Curtis McElhinney to Tampa Bay.

Flames 1 Blues 0: In Calgary, Alberta, Miikka Kiprusoff made 27 saves for his fifth shutout of the season and David Moss scored the only goal as Calgary defeated St. Louis.

The Flames broke a scoreless tie at 5:39 of the third period after a bad sequence from Blues defensemen Carlo Colaiacovo and Tyson Strachan .
