- RIYADH: Anwar Muhammad Ibrahim has won the first prize of a new discounted subscription campaign of Asharq Al-Awsat, a sister publication of Arab News.
- He received a Volvo 2011 car.
Ibrahim said the prize was a pleasant surprise for him, as he never dreamed about it. “Although I am one of the oldest subscribers of Asharq Al-Awsat I never expected I would win this prize,” he said.
Ibrahim, who is from Jeddah, said the prize affirms the credibility of the paper’s subscription campaign. He said he has been a regular reader of Asharq Al-Awsat and commended its informative content.
He said he was extremely happy when an official of the Saudi Research and Publishing Company informed him about the prize. “I couldn’t believe it. God has answered my mother’s prayers,” he added.
Ibrahim, who works as a marketing executive, said he used to encourage his friends and relatives to subscribe to Asharq Al-Awsat.
Asharq Al-Awsat has announced attractive prizes for its subscription campaign for 2011 in addition to substantial discounts in fees. It gives Volvo cars for the grand prize winner as well as for the monthly and weekly winners.
