The Saudis, who have been influenced by deviant thoughts and ex-Guantanamo inmates, undergo the rehabilitation program after expressing a wish to reform.

The 12 youths were admitted to the center and underwent various training courses over 12 months. Before their final release from the center, they were allowed three short paroles with their relatives.

The paroles were 10 days for spring season and 15 days each for the two Eids. Some of them were also allowed to travel home for special family occasions.

Some of them had the opportunity to perform Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan and Haj last year.

Four of the trainees were also allowed to continue their studies at universities and six others joined advanced computer studies and English language courses.

The rehabilitation program aims to wean youths away from deviant and terrorist ideologies. It gives participants an insight into the origin, history and impact of deviant ideology.

Their discussions focus on social, cultural, psychological, sports, medical, security, humanitarian and legal issues.
