He said an agreement to produce the directory was signed on Monday with an unidentified company. “Anyone looking for information about the Saudi private sector, whether inside the Kingdom or abroad, can get what he wants by using this service on his mobile or fixed telephone,” Al-Sultan said.

He added that the service would be automated to enable users to easily access information they need.

He said the contracting company will also establish a website for the directory, enabling international users to browse for information they may require about the Saudi private sector.

“Users of the directory can have detailed, thorough and authentic data about any private sector company in Saudi Arabia,” he said.

Al-Sultan explained that data about the private sector would be classified according to different sectors, including restaurants, hotels, furnished apartments, hospitals, contracting companies, schools, universities, banks, insurance companies, car rental companies and others.

Project manager for the directory at the council, Hamad Al-Houshani, said the signing of the contract to produce the service was part of the council’s efforts to provide an advanced tool for the business sector.
