The warehouse belonged to a 45-year-old man.

“The crime occurred at around 10 p.m. The victim informed police that someone had gotten inside the warehouse and stolen the items,” said Col. Misfer Al-Juaid, spokesman for Jeddah police. The suspect was arrested after his fingerprints matched those left in the crime scene.

Meanwhile, another Yemeni overstayer was arrested in Al-Sharafiya district for stealing SR5,000 worth of jewelry and mobile phones from a 45-year-old Egyptian man’s flat in the area.

"The 39-year-old suspect struck when the victim left his apartment. He broke into it and stole the items. However, police investigators were able to track down the culprit, who admitted the theft and is currently in custody at Al-Sharafiya police station," said Al-Juaid.

In another incident, a 30-year-old Sudanese man was arrested in a downtown Balad district for stealing SR200,000 from his employer.

"The suspect attempted to flee the money his boss had asked him to deposit in the bank, but was arrested by the police," said Al-Juaid.
