He said the department has sent 10 rescue teams including divers with necessary equipment to search for the missing boy, adding that the search operation is supervised by Brig. Jameel Al-Arbaeen, director of the department, and Col. Salim Al-Matrafi, director of operations.

The muddy lake, located in Hada in the township of Bahra, covers a total area of 5,000 square meters with an estimated depth of seven meters. It is about five kilometers from the boy's home.

"The search for the boy is still continuing," the spokesman told Arab News.
