All I know is that it is the most abundant item in all shops, groceries and supply stores, no matter how far-out they may be. You will find it along expressways, petrol stations, everywhere. It is widely bought, especially by the youth.

The day you begin your elementary schooling, you go to school with your green hanging file. If you want to be transferred to another school, you have to have your green file in your hands.

When you complete your secondary education and want to join the university, the green file must be one of your tools. It accompanies you throughout your university years. When you graduate, you add the green file to your university certificate.

It will also be with you in your journey in search of employment. The distinctive feature of this file is that it symbolizes citizenship. Its color is like that of the passport and the flag.

The journey of the Saudi youth with the green file is a rich one and deserves to be part of our contemporary history. Thousands of Saudi youths buy green files every day to keep copies of their certificates and papers.

Every one of them will keep about 10 green files containing his papers in his car. When he runs into any important man, he will give a green file containing all his papers, documents, university certificates, diplomas of training sessions and others.

When any ministry announces that it has vacancies, young men will quarrel at selling points to get their share of the green files.

The No. 1 beneficiary of unemployment is the company that manufactures the green files. If unemployment is solved, this company will declare its bankruptcy.

This is why the company producing the green hanging file may be behind the crisis of unemployment. It actually encourages unemployment and is supporting the Ministry of Civil Services to block vacancies.

It is also persuading ministries not to employ people. If the thousands of unemployed (I do not know if their number has reached millions or not) got jobs, what would be the fate of the green file?
