- ON the auspicious occasion of the 40th anniversary of our Independence and National Day, I wish to extend my warmest greetings and heartiest felicitations to the brotherly people and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to all our friends and well-wishers and to all expatriate Bangladeshis living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the spiritual home of Muslim communities.
On this great Day, we recall with profound respect Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Father of the Nation, whose charismatic leadership inspired us in achieving our long cherished independence. We also pay tributes to other national leaders, freedom fighters and martyrs of the liberation war.
Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia have been enjoying excellent relations both at bilateral and multilateral levels characterized by deep fraternity and mutual understanding.
These existing bonds of friendship have been further cemented by the valuable contributions of our expatriates, who have been playing very important and significant role to the economic development of the two brotherly countries.
I take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to all Saudi leaders, officials, businesspersons for their continuous and valuable support to our efforts at promoting and strengthening the ties between the brotherly countries. Here, we also would like to mention the understanding and cooperation extended by our expatriates to this consulate in discharging our responsibilities smoothly. We renew our commitment to ensuring better and prompt services with their continued support.
