- RIYADH: The board of The Saudi British Bank (SABB) has announced the appointment of Mohammad bin Miziad Al-Tuwaijri as a non-executive board member representing HSBC Holding B.V., SABB's foreign partner effective Monday (March 21) in succession to Robin Douglas Jones.
Al-Tuwaijri is presently the head of Global Banking and Markets and Private Banking for HSBC in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He has over 17 years of senior banking experience, of which 12 years were in Saudi Arabia. Prior to his appointment to HSBC, Al-Tuwaijri held leading positions with reputable companies in the region. He joined HSBC from J.P. Morgan where he was most recently managing director and head in Saudi Arabia. Earlier, he spent over 10 years with The Saudi British Bank (SABB) where he served in several senior positions, and most recently as the head of treasury.
The board passed a vote of thanks to Jones for his valuable contribution throughout his board membership tenure and welcomed Al-Tuwaijri, wishing him all success in his new assignment.
