- TAIF: Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, said a number of new projects including an airport would strengthen Taif's position as a leading tourist destination in the Kingdom.
Speaking to reporters after launching the rose festival here Saturday, he said: "Taif will have integrated tourist facilities within a few years." Apart from Souk Okaz there are so many tourist attractions in Taif.
He emphasized the commission's plan to develop the rose festival to achieve an international standard. "Next year it will be much bigger than this year's," he said.
The Taif Municipality has made a flower carpet spreading over 900 square meters including 100,000 flowers of 10 different types.
