- RIYADH: Indian International School Riyadh (IISR) scored a comfortable 104-run win over Bangladesh International School in the Inter-School Cricket Tournament League for the Arab News Cup, sponsored by Arab News and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association being played on CS-1 ground, Sulay area, near exit 18, Riyadh.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first the Indian school went on a rampage and scored 222 in their allotted 20 overs. The Bangladesh School bowlers failed to take advantage of the overcast weather conditions and struggled to contain the rival batsmen. Zaid (40), Talha (39) and Amir (32) were the top run getters while Tanseef 2 for 19 and Shafia 2 for 40 did their best for the bowling side.
In reply Bangladesh failed to make a fight of it and were bowled out for a paltry 118 off 18.3 overs. The only batsman who stood up among the ruins was Mustaqeem (31). Naveed did most of the damage taking 3 for 18 while Suhail and Asif bagged one each.

In the Under-15 section Middle East International School routed IISR) by 10 wickets.
Batting first after winning the toss, Indian School were bundled out for 98 off 20 overs. Yahya (24) was the only batsman who stood up to the rival bowling. Moiz 3 for 19, Owais 2 for 13 and Hisham 2 for 23 were the main wicket takers.
Middle East had no problem reaching the required target with Hisham (64) and Saad (28) scoring off 9.3 overs.

Four schools are taking part in the under-19 section while five in the under-15 category, which is being played on a round robin basis.
