It signed a contract with the University of Groningen in Holland to upgrade the level of the academic, research and educational standards in its computer science college according to international standards. Under the contract, the Dutch university will:

— Evaluate the syllabuses and equipment in the computer science college.

— Make an analysis of its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

— Revise the mechanisms of quality and academic accreditation.

— Get involved in any other fields of cooperation decided by King Khaled University.

A delegation from the Dutch university will visit Riyadh to discuss and evaluate the current educational and research programs of King Khaled University with a focus on the computer science college as a first step. After the visit, a draft plan will be formulated on the project and its costs.

The university signed another contract with Michigan State University to provide it with expertise to prepare its graduates for the labor market and enable them to get suitable jobs.

According to the contract, four staff members from the American university will visit Riyadh. The two universities will also exchange students and staff members.

Meanwhile, Taibah University of Madinah has signed four agreements with international universities. Two of the agreements were signed with the University of Central Florida while the other two with Universiti Sans Malaysia and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Speaking to reporters after the signing ceremomy in the presence of Higher Education Minister Khaled Al-Anqari, Taibah President Mansour Al-Nuzha said the agreements would strengthen the university’s research programs.

Taibah signed another agreement with King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for the Gifted. The agreement, which was signed between Abdul Aziz Al-Sarani, vice president of the university, and Mahmoud Naqadi, assistant secretary-general of the foundation, follows the first scientific forum organized by the foundation at the university.
