Prince Faisal bin Salman, chairman of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group, made the appointment after it was endorsed by the board of trustees of the Saudi Research and Publishing Company, the publisher of the newspaper.

Al-Mansour has long standing experience in journalism and administration. He has been working as managing editor of Al-Eqtisadiah since 2003. He has also worked for other local newspapers.

Al-Mansour holds a university degree in information and an advanced diploma in management and marketing.
