- RIYADH: Famous Saudi singer Muhammad Abdou is in good health, local Arabic daily Shams reported Sunday quoting sources close to him.
- The source said the singer, who is now in Paris with family, talked to him at length by telephone and asked him to assure his fans not to worry, that he was in excellent health after he had overcome the sudden sickness.
The source would not say what Abdou fell ill to, but suggested it was due in part to exhaustion. "This is normal for everyone who loves his work and who honors his commitments," he added.
The source said he received a series of telephone calls asking about the health condition of Abdou after rumors were circulated that he had a stroke. He said he called his eldest daughter Nura who told him that her father was asleep.
