- JEDDAH: The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) on Wednesday hosted an event for Al-Shie International Company to secure job opportunities for about 400 Saudis possessing certificates and educational qualifications at intermediate and university levels and looking for positions ranging from salesmen to directors.
JCCI Secretary General Adnan Mandoura said the one-day event was part of the JCCI’s objectives and priorities aimed at finding jobs for Saudis.
He said the chamber organized such events from time to time to satisfy the needs of the labor market and execute the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to implement Saudization at all levels and in all specialties.
Mandoura said the determination of Al-Shaie company to accept the Saudi youths for employment further augments its position as a distinct firm committed to implement Saudization in all seriousness.
Abid Akkad, director of JCCI’s department of Saudization of jobs, said the company has offered 400 jobs in the fields of sales and warehouses at salaries starting from SR3,000. He said jobs are only for men.
