- EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Michigan: Authorities say the Indian manager for a touring musical group was killed and five others injured when their vehicle flipped over as they were traveling from Detroit for a show in the Chicago suburb of Villa Park.
Police tell the Battle Creek Enquirer and The Grand Rapids Press that Chtresh Shrivastava, of Mumbai, died in Saturday's crash on Interstate 94 in Calhoun County's Emmett Township, about 160 km west of Detroit. The musicians were touring with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, a Pakistani musician who has credits in many movies from Bollywood studios and several Hollywood films.
