- RIYADH: Health Minister Abdullah Al-Rabeeah inaugurated Saturday a number of health projects in Hail province in the presence of Hail Gov.
- Prince Saud bin Abdulmohsen.
Inaugurating a 200-bed maternity and children’s hospital in the region, the minister said the hospital would increase its capacity to 300 beds.
“We will initiate more new health projects with the support of Hail Gov. Prince Saud,” he said.
He also announced that a 500-bed specialized hospital in the region would be completed before the end of this year.
He added that the contractor has agreed to finish the work within the stipulated time. He said that a permanent working group has been appointed by the ministry to oversee this project and to ensure that the work is completed in time.
The ministry has also allocated funds for the construction of a mental hospital in the region.
The ministry is to build eight more primary health-care centers, bringing the total to 52 in the region. The minister said that his ministry has plans to build 18 new primary health care centers in the region.
He also said that a Cardiac Center would also be constructed with all modern facilities. It would be manned by qualified professionals.
