- LONDON: Spot gold rallied to a record high in British pounds on Tuesday as fears of European sovereign debt contagion raised the allure of the precious metal for investors.
Spot gold hit record high of at 944.18 pounds an ounce, and traded at $941.65 at 0648 GMT.
