- JEDDAH: A Saudi man from Qulwa near Abha was not sure whether to be happy or sad when he finally received a piece of land from the local municipality, despite turning 100 recently.
Muhammad Al-Zahrani applied for the plot 33 years ago. “I had lost all hope in getting a piece of land,” he told Al-Madinah Arabic daily.
“I had approached the municipality hundreds of times during this period for an update on the progress of my application. Thank God, at last I got it. Now the municipality wants me to update information written in the application and I hope it will not take a long time.”
