“We’ll accept only emergency cases involving Saudis and expatriates that cannot be delayed,” Al-Malik said. He said passport officers at airports, seaports and other entry points would work 24 hours a day as usual during the Eid break.

“Department managers have been instructed to supervise activities in their offices to make sure that work is done without delay,” he said.

Al-Malik said the department’s patrolling officers would also continue their work during the Eid holidays.

Meanwhile, Eastern Province Gov. Prince Muhammad bin Fahd has instructed all government departments in the region to work during the Eid holidays and complete work for citizens and residents without delay.

Qassim Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar and Jazan Gov. Prince Muhammad bin Nasser said they would work over the Eid holiday to serve citizens and residents. The governors urged government departments in their provinces to meet the requirements of citizens and residents during the break.
