The bank did not say whether bank officials had anything to do with the scandal. However, it said all officials involved in the case would be questioned.

The person accused of paying bribes was working for a company with which the bank signed a contract three months ago. Informed sources said the person was held with a number of applications.

Investigations could not prove whether the person had given money to the bank officials.

The manager of the bank’s branch where the foul play took place has been removed from his post, but sources say his sacking had nothing to do with the scandal.
