- JEDDAH: Police are currently investigating the murder of an Asian housemaid in Al-Salama district of north Jeddah.

The body was transferred to the hospital morgue for examination.
A woman and her son lived in the house, and at the time of the crime, they were in a resort north of Jeddah.
Police received a phone call from the family reporting the murder and the burglary.
According to the police, the thief entered the house from a window on the ground floor, where the crime took place.
Police believe that the thief, surprised by the presence of the maid in the house, might have attacked her. After killing her, he carried the body to the upper floor, placed it in the bathroom and locked the door before getting away with valuables, including expensive watches.
A forensic team gathered evidence and fingerprints from the crime scene. The house owner said she suspected no one. Police are still investigating the crime.
