- DUBAI: Famous Libyan state TV broadcaster Hala Al-Misrati, who played a great role in turning people against the rebels, has apologized for what she used to say on Libyan TV.
- She did so in an exclusive interview with Al Aan TV reporter Jenan Moussa in Tripoli.
Al-Misrati added, ”The regime of tyrant Qaddafi exploited me, and I apologize to all Libyans asking for their forgiveness. For all those who say I am responsible, I say I am brave enough to apologize and I was, like all of you, under great oppression. No one was able to escape it.” She ended the interview by asking her audience, who used to be affected by what she said, to wake up now and strongly believe in a brighter future for Libyans.
The complete version of the interview will be broadcast later during the day on Al Aan TV.
