- JUBAIL: An expatriate in his 40s lost his life after tampering with a dynamite bar that exploded in a remote location in Jubail.
The victim, believed to be an Asian man working for a private company in An Nua’ayriyah desert near Jubail, was discovered by his boss. “Police received a report on Sunday from a Saudi resident who said he found the worker’s disfigured body near the employee’s accommodation,” said a spokesman. Police and forensic investigators were dispatched to the scene. Sources also said the victim might have been tampering with the dynamite stick in an attempt to extract copper pieces from it using a hammer, which was found near the body.
