The DFB says the 30-year-old Uilacan is “strongly suspected of being involved in match-fixing on two occasions during his time as a (fourth-tier) SC Verl player in 2009.”

The federation added Friday there was “no indication” that Uilacan actually fixed any games.

The ruling means Uilacan is banned from playing or coaching any team under the jurisdiction of the DFB until further notice.

A full sentence is still to be determined. Uilacan’s planned hearing on Friday was called off when he reported sick. A new date has not yet been set.
