At a press conference at the capital’s Four Seasons Hotel on Tuesday, chairman of the REF’s board of trustees Saad Ibrahim Al-Mojel will talk about the preparations for the forum.

Speakers at the forum, considered by the economic and private sectors as one of most important events in the Kingdom, include economic experts, government officials, and businesspeople.

The REF, according to Al-Mojel, is recognized as an essential event for the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry since it was first introduced.

Al-Mojel also expressed gratitude for Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah’s encouragement and support, which he describes as clear evidence for the government’s support for the private sector and its role in society.

“The king’s patronage reflects his support for businesswomen and men to better serve the national economy and achieve durable development,” said Al-Mojel.

Al-Mojel also pointed out that the forum’s five major studies focus on inter-city transportation, vocational training and learning and the development requirements for manpower, food security based on local agriculture, importing and investing abroad, evaluating investment in the Kingdom and balanced development in the Kingdom’s provinces.

The recommendations, according to Al-Mojel, will be reviewed for possibly supporting and developing the economic policies the government is following to achieve sustainable development.
