Robertson died of natural causes on Sept. 10 at age 88. About 100 mourners attended his funeral Friday in East Hampton. Relatives spoke about his acting talents, humanitarian efforts and devotion to aviation. Robertson won an Oscar in 1968 for his performance in "Charly." He played a mentally disabled man who undergoes medical treatment and becomes a genius.

Robertson had a string of impressive performances in television and on Broadway. On film, he portrayed future President John F. Kennedy in the World War II film "PT 109." He played Uncle Ben in the recent "Spider-Man" movies. Memorial services are being planned for New York City and Los Angeles.
