- CAIRO: Egyptian actress Randa Al-Buhairi has denied rumors that she will quit acting.
- The rumors started after a television interview in which the actress said that she wished to wear a hijab one day.
She said that even if she wore the hijab, she would continue with acting, just like many other Egyptian actresses who are acting with the hijab. Al-Buhairi recently shot her last scenes of “Heya Wahda” (It is One), a movie in which she plays the role of Samah, a rich girl struggling for her rights in a family inheritance feud.
Al-Buhairi also expressed satisfaction over her role of a Muslim woman with a Christian half-brother in “What is Happening in Egypt,” a theater play that contains a message of love to be spread between Muslims and Christians.
