The two also discussed cooperation and coordination to provide the Togolese pilgrims with the best of services.The chairman of the board of directors said his establishment was keen to hold regular meetings with heads of Haj missions and representatives of diplomatic and consular missions to discuss the services to be extended to the pilgrims from their countries.He said the establishment had deployed all its human and material resources to provide its pilgrims with consummate services that would enable them to perform the fifth pillar of Islam in an atmosphere of ease, comfort and safety.On his part, the consul lauded the excellent arrangements made by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the guests of God and said 1,500 Hajis would come from his country this year.He said all Togolese pilgrims were rigorously trained on the Haj rites before they proceeded to Saudi Arabia.Meanwhile, a total of 428,321 pilgrims have arrived in Madinah as of Saturday, while 173,386 left the city, leaving behind 254,909, the Haj Committee announced Sunday. It said 46,199 of them arrived through Prince Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz International Airport.According to the committee, Indonesians with 54,167 pilgrims outnumbered all other nationalities, followed by Indians, who were 33,102 and Pakistanis, who were 31,178. — With input from Yousuf Muhammad
