The 58th session of the Shoura Council session was chaired by its Deputy Chairman Bandar bin Mohammed Hamza Hajjar.

Shoura Council Secretary-General Muhammad Al-Ghamdi said the members felt the need to protect the nation against these fake certificates.

"Some of these certificates are issued online without a proper address or headquarters of the issuing authority," he said, adding that the risks involved include the possibility that these fake certificate holders could become medical men or trustees of educational institutions in the Kingdom.

The house enstructed its committee on educational affairs and scientific research to carry out an in-depth study on the issue and find remedial actions to prevent such instances. The members requested the committee to submit a report quickly.

The council approved the draft unified regulation on extending insurance protection to GCC military personnel who are working outside their own countries in any member state.

According to Al-Ghamdi the decision was based on a report presented by the committee on administration and human resources, which proposed that there must be a uniform scheme to extend insurance protection to the military staff who work in the region.
