- JEDDAH: A Saudi breeder refuses to sell his Napoleon, a Hijazi goat, even though he has been offered SR11,000.
- The long-eared goat is a breed between local and Pakistani goats and the strain is called "Hijazi," Al-Madinah daily reported Tuesday.
The female goats of this stock give plenty of milk besides being multicolored. Hijazi people generally prefer this kind of goats for their dinner, according to a local goat salesman.
The demand reaches its peak during the Haj season. The goat bidding at Jeddah market occurs only on three days.
