He said the tents, to be erected in the location of the establishment in Arafat, would accommodate about 5,000 pilgrims. The guests of God will stay in Arafat from sunrise to sunset. The grand stand in Arafat represents the climax of Haj.

Seifuddin said the tents, of various sizes ranging between 16 and 192 sq. meters, would be well-furnished and air-conditioned. He said they could be used after Haj for special occasions.

Seifuddin said the establishment had secured 500 of these tents to be used on an experimental basis during this year’s Haj.

He said the establishment had undertaken a study to install water coolers in Mina according to special specifications that would not impede the movement of pilgrims. Thermos cooled by ice cubes are currently being used in Mina to provide cold water to the pilgrims.
