Jawed Khan, a local administrator, says the militants attacked the house in Minzare Cheena village in the Mohmand tribal area before dawn on Friday. The village is located only about 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) from the Afghan border.

Authorities suspect the militants came from Afghanistan.

Khan said the militants also burnt a girls school near the village as they left. Khan is a local administrator in the area.
