“These stations are used for temporarily collecting and assembling waste transported by trash compressing dumping trucks. The station consists of concrete platforms attached to a hydraulic ramp to lift and rise dumping trucks,” said Abdul Al-Salam Masha’at, undersecretary of the Makkah mayor’s office.

“The aim of this project is to shorten the distances the trucks have to drive and to allow dumping trucks to empty their containers in a shorter time to allow for more trash collecting.”

Masha’at said these units are distributed at different sites in the holy land. These locations include Dugam Al-Wabar, Saad Al-Magrah near Al-Haj road, and in Makkah’s Al-Azizia district and in Bahra.
