“It’s about time a strong, brave step is taken by the Arab League. Since the beginning of the so-called Arab Spring nothing can be compared to the level of violence the Syrian people have and are experiencing these days,” a Syrian, who did not wish to be named, said, adding: “I hope that this will force an end to the killing of innocent people in Syria.”

“All credit and praise should be handed to the Arab League countries that voted on suspending Syria. The next step is to send embassy and diplomatic representatives out there to signify their denouncement of the violence there,” another Arab said.

“This suspension is to protect innocent lives and victims from the daily violent attacks by the crackdown on the people, by this regime,” an Egyptian, who too requested anonymity, said.

Everyone, not just the Arab world but all peace loving world, should do something to stop this violence,” a Saudi, who too did not give his name, said.
