- Al-KHARJ: A 30-year-old Saudi woman came up with a unique way to avoid getting married to someone she did not like by contacting police and falsely reporting that she murdered her mother and brother.
Police immediately moved to the location only to find out that the report was a hoax. The woman said she got desperate and made the call to stop two of her brothers forcing her to marry someone she did not like.
When she learned that her brothers forged the premarital certificate to force her to marry the man they had chosen, she immediately called police to inform them about the “murder.”
When police came to the house, the brothers denied any crime had been committed. The woman then told police that she was the one who called and wanted to complain about her brothers for her pain and suffering.
The woman said she was in the house with her old mother and two sisters and this trick was the only way to bring police to the house.
She accused her brothers of forging the premarital certificate. She also accused them of bringing another woman to impersonate her. She told police she wanted them to protect her against her brothers.
Officers took the two brothers and sisters to the police station to get their official report. Police then referred the case to a family reconciliation department.
