A special hashtag calling for the ouster of the diplomats was created, including #GCCwithSyria. Social networkers called on all Arab government and international communities to stand with the Syrian people struggling to win their freedom and expel the ambassadors in an effort to isolate Syria’s regime.

Users in social networking sites were denouncing the continuous violence against protestors and called for an immediate military intervention to put an end to the massacres.

Some people also went further and described the actions of the Syrian leadership as equal to former Israeli premier Ariel Sharon and Hitler.

Others called for a social campaign to gather food and medicine for the Syrian people and find ways to smuggle help to the people in need. Social users condemned the Arab League for their slowness in taking action against the Syrian government.

Others harshly criticized the league for giving the Syrian regime enough time to kill people. 

Despite the late move by the Arab League to impose sanctions, some Twitter users saw it as a step forward and a green light for further international action against the Syrian regime similar to that taken against Libya during its own civil unrest.

Some people are retweeting messages calling to expel the Syrian ambassadors. Users are calling for the Syrian army to stand against the regime and its militia. Most are commenting that the army should defend the people and not massacre them.

Most Twitter users are also uploading video clips of crimes committed against people including citizens getting shot on the street and sometimes cold-blooded executions.

Users are also optimistic that the regime will fall because currently it is in a perceived state of panic. They all predict that the Syrian regime will suffer from the same fate as that of previous dictators.
