In a press conference held at the HRDF headquarters here, Ibrahim Al-Moaiqel, the fund's director general, said, “We'll review all the submitted documents submitted by applicants seeking financial assistance under the program. The process should be completed by year's end.”

Under the program, unemployed Saudi men and women aged 20 to 35 will be given monthly assistance of SR2,000 by the government until they get a job through the help of the HRDF.

Al-Moaiqel also said that the HRDF would coordinate with 112 companies in the government sector and 50 in the private sector. These firms will confirm the authenticity and veracity of the documents submitted by the applicants through the Hafiz website.

If the applicants are confirmed qualified for assistance under the program, SR2,000 will be deposited monthly in their bank accounts. They would also be informed through the Hafiz website if they are qualified or not. They will also be told the reasons why they do not qualify if their applications are rejected.

Al-Moaiqel added that while they are getting SR2,000 monthly assistance, they would attend developmental courses in various institutions through HRDF coordination. After completing their respective courses, the HRDF will help them get a job in the private or public sector. However, he added, the monthly assistance will then stop.

The project was launched with the HRDF collecting applications for financial assistance from unemployed Saudi nationals and in March it called anew on the applicants to answer all personal details being asked and also comply with special requirements.
