“The results confirm that when it comes to safety features, the new Chevrolet Malibu will be one of the best-equipped in the segment,” said Wayne Brannon, president and managing director of Chevrolet Europe.

The all-new Chevrolet Malibu features a sophisticated crash impact structure for maximum protection in the event of a collision. In the Middle East, Malibu will be equipped with dual-stage driver and front passenger air bags, driver and front passenger pelvic/thorax side-impact air bags, and roof rail air bags with roll over protection.

Malibu is the auto industry’s longest-running midsize nameplate, spanning 35 years, six decades, and eight generations.

Earlier this year, the Sonic hatchback — currently the safest car in its segment –and the Captiva were awarded a five-star rating. The brand’s best-selling nameplate, the Chevrolet Cruze sedan, too, has won Euro NCAP’s top safety award.

Founded in Detroit in 1911, Chevrolet is celebrating its centennial as a global automotive brand. Last year, about 4.25 million Chevrolets were sold in more than 120 countries.
