“The society’s board of directors decided to institute this prize in appreciation of the late prince’s role as an honorary president of the organization,” Prince Ahmed said. He said a specialized committee has been set up to prepare the prize’s bylaws and conditions and the nomination procedure.

Prince Ahmed noted Prince Sultan’s humanitarian activities and his continuous support to charitable organizations across the Kingdom. “Prince Sultan made tremendous contributions as a leading statesman and a humanitarian prince. Nobody can forget his services to the nation.”

Prince Ahmed stressed the leading role played by Prince Sultan in taking care of Alzheimer’s patients by supporting the charitable society, which has now many branches in the Kingdom.

“Our society offers awareness services to all groups of people in the country, especially those taking care of the elderly,” Prince Ahmed said.
