Etihad Airways' "Flying the Flag" flight took off from Abu Dhabi Airport at 5 p.m. on National Day, Dec. 2.

In the cockpit of the A320 aircraft were First Officer Ahmed Saleh Husain and Captain Declan Keller.

Along the route, the flight touched down at Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al-Khaimah, Fujairah and Al-Ain airports, where the pilots met local representatives, who signed a board of commemoration.

The A320 featured the Spirit of the Union logo near the aircraft door — the same logo being carried by the entire Etihad Airways fleet.
