- JEDDAH: Chairmen of legislative Shoura councils of member countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) arrived in Jeddah Friday to participate in a regular meeting of the GCC legislative speakers scheduled to be held in Jeddah on Saturday.
- The meeting is to be chaired by Saudi Shoura Council Chairman Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Asheikh.
The GCC speakers included Oman’s Shorua Council Chairman Khaled bin Hilal Al-Maawali, Speakers of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives Khalifa bin Ahmad Al-Dahrani, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirate Mohammed bin Ahmad Al-Mur and Speaker of the Advisory Council of Qatar Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifi.
Secretary-General of the Kuwait National Assembly Allam bin Ali Al-Kandari and Speaker of Arab Transitional Parliament Ali Salem Al Deqbasi also arrived in Jeddah on Friday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
