- RIYADH: Secretariat General of Riyadh Economic Forum (REF) commenced the preparation for the fifth session to be held on Dec.
- 17-19, 2011, under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah at Riyadh Intercontinental Hotel.
The session will recommendations on inter-cities transportation, vocational and technical training and its manpower compatibility for the development demands, food security between local agriculture, import and agricultural investment abroad. The session will also discuss evaluating investments in the Kingdom and the balanced development in various parts of the Kingdom.
Riyadh Economic Forum held during its present session 40 meetings and 22 discussions with the participation of 960 personnel representing the consulting bodies participating in the study, the supervising teams, the secretary generals of the forum and government and businessmen and women experts. The meetings concluded with 25-30 final recommendations with specific mechanisms for implementation.
On this occasion, chairman of board of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, expressed gratitude for the king’s support which enhances its position as a distinguished scientific entity and a serious economic discussion platform with accurate vision by experts to find solutio ns for present time economic problems.
The king’s support for the Riyadh Economic Forum, as deputy chairman of Riyadh Chamber and Chairman of Forum’s Board of Trustees Saad Al-Mujel, described it, reflects the government’s support for the private sector’s institutes and acknowledgment of their roles in the society. The businessmen and women are also encouraged to serve the national economy and help achieve the sustainable development, the government is seeking, said Al-Mujel.
