- NEW DELHI: An Indian court has convicted six people for their involvement in a 2005 shooting at a prestigious science institute in Bangalore that killed a retired professor and wounded four others.
Judge V.R. Revanakara says the six will be sentenced Monday.
The Press Trust of India news agency reported after Saturday’s conviction that the six face possible death sentences for plotting the attack and waging war against India. Bangalore is home to several of India’s leading outsourcing companies.
