According to official sources, the police officer used his position at the prison to form this relationship with the woman, who was regularly visiting her son in jail.

The officer was arrested at a private resort outside Riyadh with the woman.  He granted her more time when she visited her incarcerated son.  He took her phone number and met her regularly outside the prison.
