- JEDDAH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah on Tuesday ordered that the three woman teachers of Baraim Al-Watan, who died while trying to save students from a major fire that hit the school on Nov.
- 19, be awarded posthumously the King Abdul Aziz Medal of the First Order.
Education Minister Prince Faisal bin Abdullah said the bereaved families of the three teachers — Ghadeer Kattua, Reem Al-Nahari and Souzan Al-Khaledi — would be given SR1 million each in appreciation of their sacrifices in the service of students.
