- JEDDAH: Hail police are currently investigating an attempt by three men to force their way into a traffic police detention center in a town in the province and help their detained friend break out, spokesman for Hail police Col.
- Abdul Aziz Al-Zinaidi said on Saturday.
The youth was arrested when traffic police saw him speeding in the town of Hait, 250 kilometers south of the city of Hail.
After a chase officers caught him and kept him at the local police station. Soon after, three of his friends arrived at the station demanding the youth’s immediate release.
The police refused, saying legal procedures had to be followed. However, the youths attacked the police with the aim of freeing their friend by force.
The three men were arrested and held in custody while investigations continue, Al-Zinaidi said.
