- MAKKAH: Not far from the Grand Mosque, particularly next to Al-Mashair Railway, a number of cleaning workers are dumping garbage collected from Makkah restaurants and hotels.
Al-Mashair Railway project, which costs SR6 billion, is now being defaced.
Three large trucks were seen in the location dumping rocks, construction waste and car wheels, among other things. While a cleaning worker stressed that this location belonged to the cleaning company under the supervision of the municipality, Saleh Abdul Samad Izzat, a municipality official, said that his department would send a supervising committee to check if waste was being dumped at the location and would punish the violators.
